Hey guys!!

I hope you all had a fabulous day today, I know I did!!

Today made me realize how important it is to take a moment and just laugh...

A co-worker and I laughed SO hard about something silly she did. Her gesture made me laugh like I hadn't laughed in a LONG time!! Granted, I was flushed, my face hurt, and I was crying from laughing SO hard... But, it felt good.

It's the little things like this that make such a difference in your day. I hope you all remember to take time in your day-to-day and just laugh.

On another note, I'm sure some of you are wondering what the Facebook challenge winners won... Well, here it is:

Monogramed notecards created using A Muse paper, A Muse stamps, Basic Grey paper, and Crystal Stickers.

Monogrammed notecards created using A Muse paper, A Muse samps, Pink Paislee paper, A Muse paper and Crystal Stickers.

Happy Birthday, President Washington!! It is because of you us bankers get to have today off (thanks!!)... And let's not forget Lincoln, Happy belated to you, too!!

In all fairness behind every great man is an even greater woman (right ladies?!). Being that I am a card maker, I think Betsy Ross should get some props today, too. After all, we have her to thank for the US flag. Well... no one REALLY know's if Ross actually made the first US flag, but never-the-less, she's mentioned in history... so, thats enough for me.

So whatever you all may be doing today, be it shopping, relaxing, or sleeping, don't forget what this holiday truly stands for; remembrance of our first president's birthday... AND Lincoln and of course, Betsy Ross (lol).

Created using Greeting Farm's Surfer Ian, Memory Box stamp, K & Company paper ribbon, A Muse stamp, Metal Stickers Nail Heads, K & Company Citronella paper.

Today I am feeling exceptionally inspired... The Paper Princess is now at 31 fans and 4 blog followers... SO exciting!!
Being it is my day off, I plan to do nothing but CREATE... Oh yeah, and you all remember those things called CD's, right?! Well, I am finally importing them into my i Tunes...
I have to work on a few Valentine's Day cards and I have a few order to fill. Nothing my i Pod and a hearty lunch from Phil's can't help me get through.
I recently bought a few stamp sets called My Cute Stamps from my all-time favorite store, Paper Tales. These stamps are seriously TOO cute!! One of the sets I purchased is called Eek! A Monster! in this set is a monster, I think, resembles a dragon. My mom is a HUGE fan of dragons so, i've created something in her honor... take a look...
Created using My Cute Stamps, Happy Tape, Copic, Stickles, and Basic Grey.

After a late night session of blog, fan page, and email creating I knew my hard work would pay off... but to my surprise it's paid off overnight!! I was thrilled to find The Paper Princess fan page on Facebook had grown 20 fans overnight... not to mention I have 2 (and counting) blog followers!! With that said, I would like to dedicate this entry to all of those who are current fans (and those who are soon to be), be it on FB or blog followers, of The Paper Princess. The support I have received in the past 24 hours has overcome me with complete joy and I can NOT thank you all enough!! I am so excited to see what is to come for The Paper Princess, I hope you will all be there for the ride :-) At this time, there are a few people I'd like to give a shout-out to... without these people, I couldn't have done it... An extra-special thank you goes out to my closest and dearest friends; Caroline, Amy, Rosalie, and Kelly. Caroline, thank you for all the amazing advice (*cough* my voluntary consultant), for believing in me, and ALWAYS wanting the best for me... from the bottom of my heart, thank YOU!! Amous, since the day you picked me up from the principal’s office in 5th grade, your input and support has always meant the world to me, we've supported each other through everything and this is just another one for the books. Rose, no matter how busy we get you always find a way to stay connected… Your encouragement and friendship I will always cherish. Kelly, my personal “I.T”, thank you for the “back-up”, answering all my silly questions, and allowing me to pick your brain. I can’t forget about my family… through thick and thin, we stay together!! The encouragement and praise I’ve received is overwhelming and exciting, thank YOU!! Last, but definitely not least… to the love of my life, thank you for encouraging me to follow my dreams… I am truly blessed to have a mate that appreciates and supports everything and anything I want to do… You are the best man and my best friend, thank you!!

My very own blog, how exciting!!

I've thought about blogging for some time now; however, for reasons unbeknownst to me, I didn’t get around to it and I also didn’t know what I would blog about. But, then it CLICKED… I love making cards and I love sharing what I make, so why not blog about card making?!

I guess it is safe to say making cards is my addiction… sitting at my desk; there is a feeling of tranquil bliss that overcomes me… All my worries escape me, I unwind, and let my mind wander… and once I’ve completed a project I feel… complete!!

I know-I know… I must sound insane, but I promise I’m not :)

Throughout my blog I plan to share projects, tools, techniques, and much-much more.

I’ve been making cards for years now and I’d like to think I am quite popular amongst those who have seen my work, I hope you all feel the same.

I would love to hear your comments, feel free to post your comments on my blog or email me.
